Destination Medford: Women's Weekend 2011 : On the weekend of February 25 and 26, 2011 the Medford Area Chamber of Commerce held it’s Destination Medford. Over 200 women from Medford and throughout Wisconsin attended. There were many courses for them to attend and it was a big success. Fall Appreciation Banquet 2010 : Enjoy some snapshots from Taylor County Sportsman's Club's 2010 Fall Appreciation Banquet. This banquet is held to recognize and thank all those people who make it possible for TCSC to carry out events and fund projects throughout the entire year. All sponsors of our spring member banquet, outdoor youth expo volunteers, spring turkey hunting mentors, and all area DNR education instructors are invited to attend. The evening included a delicious pork and chicken dinner with all the fixings, really nice door prize drawings and some raffles. Thank you again to everyone who makes our club so great!! Pirus Road Shooting Range 2009 : In 2009, Taylor County Sportsman's Club took on the task of making major improvements to the public shooting range on Pirus Road west of Medford. This project was initiated In response to adjacent property owner's concern. The Pirus Road range is on county property, but our board of director's feel it is important enough to improve this facility for all sportsmen in the area. Recent modifications include berming the shooting lane and adding six sound deafening tubes which contain the muzzle of the firearm during discharge to drastically reduce sound pollution. Tree plantings are also underway to stabilize the new construction and create an even better sound barrier. Thank you to those key individual who put in many, many hours on this project.
